I’ve read Ms. Burke’s books before and enjoyed them, so when this one popped up on a special, I figured it was a no brainer. I am a big series reader, but I enjoy a good stand-alone. And this one doesn’t fail to please.
I, along with Olivia Randall, vacillated between thinking Jack Harris guilty and innocent. Which is good because that’s what keep me turning the page. In the end, I was pleased with myself for choosing right, but Ms. Burke kept me guessing right up until the end.
The only think I did not see coming was Olivia’s fate, but it completely fits and I was pleased with it.
Whether you paid full price or picked it up on a special, this one won’t disappoint.
